I've been a mechanical engineer since 2008. I earned my B.S. from Penn State and my M.S. from Stevens Institute of Technology, and I've spent 18 years as a civilian engineer for the U.S. Army working on large-caliber weapon systems.
I also served seven years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a field artillery officer — an experience that shaped how I think about planning, precision, and responsibility under pressure.
Technically, I specialize in modeling lumped capacitance transient systems, with a particular love for MATLAB. There's something deeply satisfying about taking a messy, time-dependent problem and turning it into a model that tells you something true — and then validating it against the real world.
I do all of this because I genuinely enjoy building and validating models, and because good models help people. Outside of engineering, I'm a volunteer EMT and an engineering mentor for Penn State University.
I started Clean Analytics to bring those skills into the residential sector — to see if the same simulation discipline I've used for defense work can help homeowners, contractors, and federal employees make better-informed decisions about the things that actually affect their lives.
